Overview of Blizzard

I learned something this past week: To much of a good thing can be a REALLY bad thing. Please let me elaborate. First, all the snow that was on my driveway had to be shoveled somewhere. And guess who's job it was to help do that. Shoveling snow isn't as easy as you'd think. It's hard work. Second, All that ice really ruins the roads so I was stuck at home most of the time. Even though the amount of snow we got was tremendous, I didn't even go play in it. Lesson learned: snow days aren't always fun.

Project Ideas

Mr. Park, I have a suggestion for a project we could do for this quarter. How about a PowerPoint presentation on any topic we like. Thanks for listening. Brennan

Dematha Crew

Crew is dedication. Crew is intense. Crew is what DeMatha athletics is all about. Rowing isn't as easy as one may think. It is very physical exercise. Not only do you row your heart out in the boat and on ergs, or rowing machines, but you also have to do core exercises, such as push-ups and crunches, and weight lifting. I believe that crew is the most intense sport DeMatha has to offer. It requires both power and form.

Raised in the Hood

Unlike most of my peers at DeMatha, I grew up going to public schools. I graduated from Samuel Ogle Middle School, in Bowie Maryland and I know the hard life. Compared to some of these other schools, entering Ogle was like entering a prison. There was all sorts of graffiti in the bathrooms, hoodlums doing crimes, and no one wore any prissy uniforms. I happened to graduate with Principals Honors and there weren't even eighth grade graduations. None at all. The experiences at Ogle have, I think, made me tougher than most of the other guys at my school.

Obama Rules!!!

I don't care what anyone else says, Obama is an AWESOME president. He is way better than George W. Bush. He can make decisions on his own, while Bush had to be talked into doing things by that old Dick Cheney. Obama is NOT a socialist. He cares about America, and that is why he wants affordable health care for all. He is also interested in catching Osama bin Laden and all the others responsible for 9/11 and that is why he called for more troops in the Afghanistan War. He will also lower taxes for us, just you wait. So all you Right Wing haters out there, I say to you Barack Baby!!!!
